Position Summary

The filling of the ASNT Multi Tech position is to provide the services as required by the client on the Project. This position ensures that seamless NDT Operations are offered to the client, and offers Operational Excellence within the Business segment

Duties & Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL

• EXECUTE NDT TESTING (LEVEL II) VIA UT/RT/MT/PT TO THE RELEVANT SITE TECHNIQUES

• ENSURE THAT ALL TESTING IS REPORTED CORRECTLY

• ENSURE THAT ALL EQUIPMENT AND CONSUMABLES ARE CORRECT FOR THE TASK BEING UNDERTAKEN

• ENSURE THAT DAILY WORKSCOPES AS FAR AS RESONABLY PRACTICABLE ARE MET

• COMPLETE ALL ASSIGNED TRAINING IN A TIMELY MANNER

• ENSURE THAT ALL NDT CERTIFICATION AND COMPETENCE ARE KEPT RELEVANT AND IN DATE

• PROVIDE MENTORSHIP AND DIRECTION FOR ALL TRAINEE STAFF WHEREVER POSSIBLE

NON-ESSENTIAL

• LIAISE WITH CLIENT PERSONNEL WHEN NEEDED TO ENSURE SMOOTH FLOW OF SITE OPERATIONS

Safety

Ensure that the Safety policies and procedures are understood and adhered to so far as is reasonably practicable in order to ensure a safe working environment.

Other

Carry out work in accordance with the Company Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality Systems.

Perform the assigned tasks with due diligence regarding the Integrated Management Systems on the Company.

Eliminate waste of whatever form, to suggest the use of more environmentally friendly substances and practices and contribute to the continuous improvement of the environment.

Supervisory Responsibilities

• This position has NO direct supervisory responsibilities.

Reporting Relationship

• Direct Reporting to Site Supervision

• Indirect reporting to the Project Manager of the site

Qualifications

REQUIRED

• ASNT / PCN Level II MT

• ASNT/ PCN Level II PT

• ASNT/ PCN Level II RT

• ASNT/ PCN Level II UT

• OGUK Medical (Or similar)

• Annual Eye Test

• For RT Operations annual Ionizing Radiation Medical

N.B All personnel must hold LII MT/PT qualifications, but candidates will be evaluated on a case by case basis as to whether they require both RT and UT i.e 1/ RT/UT/MT/PT 2/ RT/MT/PT or 3/ UT/MT/PT

DESIRED

• Proficiency in Word, Excel and Windows based programs

• Confined Space Entry trained

• Working at height trained

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Characteristics

• Minimum of 5 years in each NDT Discipline that employee is qualified within

• Gives and receives constructive feedback

• Ensures that others involved in a project or effort are kept informed about developments and plans

• Ensures that regular consistent communication takes place within area of responsibility

Working Conditions

This position is considered SHOP/Outdoors WORK which is characterized as follows.

• Almost exclusively outdoors and can be either day or night shift

• Occasional exposure to airborne dust in the work place

• Work surface is generally stable (flat), but some working at height may be required

• Exposure to high atmospheric temperatures will be part of the daily operations

• Occasional work in inclement weather conditions may be necessary
