As a key member of the Open Mind team, the Factory Manager will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our manufacturing facilities in Luanda and the provinces. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in budgeting, cost management, and strategic planning, with a proven track record of driving operational efficiency and improving productivity.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement effective budgeting and cost management strategies to ensure the factory's financial stability.
- Monitor expenses and identify opportunities for cost optimization and savings.
- Lead the development and implementation of operational plans to meet customer needs and drive business growth.
- Mentor and coach subordinates to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their roles effectively.
- Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures, and manage breaches of policy in a timely manner.
- Provide technical expertise and advice to production facilities to ensure they are operating efficiently and effectively.
- 10 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing or operations management role.
- Language proficiency in Portuguese and English.
- Knowledge of business and management principles, including budgeting, strategic planning, and resource allocation.
- Knowledge of industry equipment and technical expertise.
The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of safety, quality, productivity, demand creation, and inventory processes. They will also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
