Job SummaryBayanTech is seeking a highly skilled Localization Vendor Manager to join our team. As a key member of our localization team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality resources on time and within budget while meeting the requirements of our projects.
Key Responsibilities- Vendor Management: Recruit, screen, select, qualify, and develop external resources to meet our clients' needs.
- Resource Acquisition: Identify and recruit external linguistic resources according to required specializations, verticals, and budget constraints.
- Data Analysis: Analyze data to review the linguistic pool and ensure we have sufficient capacity to accommodate clients' needs.
- Vendor Development: Recruit new specialized vendors to create and expand multilingual and dedicated resource supply databases to accommodate clients' needs.
- Requirements Definition: Assess and define requirements for external resources and identify resource solutions.
- Test Procedures: Define appropriate test procedures for resource qualification and handle test translations and other work samples.
- Support: Support other departments by providing them with any data they request.
- Tender Support: Support the resource requirements of tenders and quotations.
- Contract Management: Follow up on the quota of the contracted freelancers and report to the intended parties.
- Negotiation: Negotiate terms and conditions for purchased services.
- Vendor Data Management: Compile and maintain vendor data and documents to ensure we have the most current information on file.
- Capacity Management: Update the capacity sheet with any newly approved vendors.
- Contract Setup: Setting up, following up, and maintenance of contracts.
- Vendor Integration: Support and monitor vendor integration and development by building partnerships, fostering usage of new vendors, and monitoring resource availability.
- Escalation Point: Act as an escalation point for vendors and create vendor partnerships with a focus on vendor utilization, cost control, quality, and commitment to projects.
- Industry Benchmarking: Follow developments in the industry and language professionals community: benchmarking. Liaise with local professional organizations and universities to promote talent management.
- Experience: 2+ years experience in Vendor Management (localization field)
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
- Language Skills: A second language will be a plus.
- Education: Minimum Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- Problem-Solving Skills: Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Urgency: High sense of urgency
- Negotiation Skills: Experience in negotiating and persuasion
- Interpersonal Skills: Strong interpersonal skills
