Grupo Simples is recruiting a Cost Analyst to provide services (secondment) to one of its clients, a well-established multinational in the Angolan oil & gas sector. This professional will support Asset Leads on budgeting, forecasting, cost tracking, analysis, and control, providing insights to inform key business decisions and drive quality and efficiency in expenditure.Responsibilities: Support Asset Leads, Budget Responsible Officers (BROs), and Performance Advisers in the preparation of quarterly budgets and forecasts;Prepare and issue monthly cost reports to the various Budget Responsible Asset Leads;Monitor actual costs incurred versus forecasts and facilitate BRO monthly cost meetings;Liaise with vendors through weekly/monthly cost meetings to resolve commercial matters in collaboration with Procurement and technical teams; ensure timely and accurate payments;Prepare VOWD/Accruals, review with BRO for approval, and submit to Finance ARC team as part of month-end close process;Create COFF in accordance with budgets and applicable contract T&Cs; manage Purchase Orders (value adjustments, uplifts, reductions, close-out) and resolve invoice/PO issues;Manage Cost, Time, and Resources (CTR) and compare committed spend versus budget;Support internal and external reporting requirements; Assist Service Owners and Contract Administrators as required.  Qualifications:Degree-level education or equivalent in Accounting, Business, Finance, or related field;Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Power BI, SAP, or similar tools;Understanding of business planning, budgeting, and forecasting;Experience with cost allocation, invoicing, and reconciliation;Functional understanding of performance and budget management;Experience in analysing financial data, budgeting, forecasting, and communicating insights;Accounting experience and strong business acumen;Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines;Self-starter with excellent teamwork skills and the courage to challenge existing processes;Professional working proficiency in English and Portuguese;Strong interpersonal and communication skills.If you meet the requirements and are ready for a challenging opportunity in Angola's oil & gas sector, apply today and join a dynamic multinational team.
