Applications Engineer

Job Overview:

Weatherford has a great opportunity for an experienced Applications Engineer to join our team in Luanda, Angola. This role focuses on developing and executing strategies to grow Weatherford's completion products business across client locations, with specialized expertise in gas lift applications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Execute multiple project workstreams through full lifecycles following company's Operational Excellence standards.
• Manage project deliverables, mitigate risks, and oversee project finances.
• Coordinate customer projects with Operations, Sales, and global teams to deliver market-leading systems and services.
• Provide detailed technical support to internal/external stakeholders.
• Collaborate with global engineering teams to develop products supporting customer needs.
• Support product line business plans in accordance with company policies and local regulations.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in engineering with 3+ years industry experience (or 8+ years' experience without degree).
• Experience in Well Completion or Gas Lift project lifecycle management.
• Expertise in these offshore disciplines: cased/open hole completions, gas lift, well services, or reservoir monitoring.
• Proficiency with simulation software for Gas Lift design, Nodal Analysis, Torque & Drag calculations is preferred.
• Strong client relationship management skills.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
• Understanding of engineering materials, drawings, and mechanical concepts.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure.
• Experience with MS Office Suite.
• Experience with SalesForce, Windchill, JD Edwards would be advantageous.
• This position requires creative problem-solving, strategic thinking, and mature engineering judgment to anticipate and address client needs in Angola's offshore environment.
