YOUR ROLE :
Under the responsibility of the General Manager CMA CGM ANGOLA, you develop and coordinate the financial and accounting activities of your Agency. In coordination with the financial and accounting department of the Regional Office, you manage relationships with all stakeholders in the Agency (including financial institutions). Your transversal vision allows you to be considered as an advisor of the General Manager.
WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?
You elaborate the budget and financial forecasts in your geographic area.
You analyze the different sources of financing and make a comparison between budgets (current one and forecast) to analyze and explain any variations.
You implement procedures to optimize financial results.
In addition, you manage your team and guarantee the reliability of the financial statements of your scope.
You ensure the monitoring of all accounting and financial activities of the Agency: accounts receivable & accounts payable, general ledger and monthly closing with accounting teams.
You also monitor the contacts with banks, as well as the validation of the consolidated financial statements of the Agency reported monthly to your Regional Office.
You will also have the responsibility of supporting the current taxation and management of relationships with auditors.
Finally, you will occasionally carry out studies at the request of your Managing Director.
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
You have a postgraduate degree (+5years) in International Business with a finance speciality, and you have at least 5 years of successful experience in a same position in an international company, bank or Big4.
You have a solid background in accounting.
You have an in-depth understanding of financial analysis methods and techniques as well as extensive expertise in IFRS, internal control principles and closing/reporting processes.
You speak English and Portuguese fluently. You are also proficient in computer and office automation tools.
Excellent interpersonal skills, good ability to adapt to a complex environment and managerial skills are the essential skills for this mission.
Shipping or logistics knowledge would be a strong plus.
