We're a local, woman-owned business seeking a professional, experienced, and caring pet stylist to join our team in providing top-notch grooming services for dogs (and cats, if you're able).

You'll also have support from our animal care staff when needed, so you can focus on styling and service.
What You'll Do
Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Bathing, nail trimming, ear cleaning — tailored to breed, coat condition & client preferences
Scissoring, clipper work, shaving — tailored to breed, coat condition & client preferences
Read and respond to dog body language, adjusting services to keep pets safe & comfortable
Keep detailed notes on cuts, products, tools, and client requests
Communicate with clients about their pet's behavior, coat condition & overall health
Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment
Report any concerns to management
Move pets through the facility safely
Maintain your own equipment in good working order
What We're Looking For
The ideal candidate will:
Have reliable transportation & excellent punctuality
Be professional, dependable, and positive
Provide outstanding care to pets & excellent customer service
Work confidently with dogs of all sizes & temperaments (cat grooming is a plus)
Be able to work independently & collaboratively
Be calm, patient, and professional under pressure
Be comfortable with social media promotion
Meet the physical demands of the role:
- Walk & stand for extended periods
- Safely walk, control & restrain dogs up to 100 lbs
- Frequently bend, reach, and lift up to 50 lbs+
Requirements
Experience: Minimum 2 years grooming experience (preferably in a high-volume salon or similar)
Education:
- Grooming School certification OR
- Completion of a formal academy through a previous employer OR
- Equivalent professional on-the-job training
- This is not a bathing position — candidates must be able to groom independently on Day 1.
Compensation
- Commission-based pay
- Estimated annual income: $32,000 – $45,000 depending on schedule & experience
