Construction Manager

About Our Client

Our client is a leading Oil and Gas Company with operations globally.

Purpose

Based in our Luanda Shore base, we are looking to bring a Construction Manager to have responsibility for coordination and readiness as well as reporting of small construction works, in special scopes related to piping and pressure vessels repairs and replacements.

The successful candidate will manage the planning of the construction and installation scopes and will have responsibility for enduring that these construction works adhere to both our client and International standards.

Job Description

• Providing specification of the project requirements and liaising with the unit operations team and TEs/TAs as required
• Creating elaborate project schedule, including financial planning
• Preparing RFQ, job cards and quality plan
• Monitoring the progress of the scopes and providing reports as required
• Monitoring and approving drawings and technical specifications
• Identifying qualified contractors for the fabrication and installation of spool
• Liaising with supply chain to purchase materials and hire the fabrication and construction services
• Organize the mobilization of contractors, tools and materials
• Travel to the fabrication yards and offshore units as required

Supervisory Responsibilities

• This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

REQUIREMENTS

• You will hold a Degree Qualification in Mechanical Engineering (or closely related discipline)
• Years experience in the field of Piping and Pressure vessels
• Minimum of 2 Years experience providing operations support

Preferred:

• Chartered Engineer status
