Operations Director

Job Summary

Open Mind is seeking a seasoned Factory Manager to oversee the daily operations of our factory in Luanda. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth execution of our manufacturing processes, maintaining high-quality products, and driving business growth.

Key Responsibilities:

• Budgeting and Cost Management: Develop and implement effective budgeting and cost management strategies to optimize production costs and ensure timely completion of projects.
• Operations Management: Oversee the daily operations of the factory, including supervising production staff, ensuring compliance with safety protocols, and implementing quality control measures.
• Performance Monitoring: Monitor production performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions to optimize production efficiency and quality.
• Team Management: Lead and motivate a team of production staff, providing guidance and support to ensure they have the necessary skills and resources to perform their duties effectively.
• Safety and Quality: Implement and maintain a culture of safety and quality within the factory, ensuring that all production processes meet the required standards.
• Communication: Communicate effectively with production staff, supervisors, and other stakeholders to ensure that production goals and objectives are understood and achieved.

Requirements:

• Experience: 10 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
• Education: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., business, engineering, or management).
• Language: Proficiency in Portuguese and English.
• Skills: Strong leadership and management skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
