Ascending is a human capital management company operating in the Angolan and international markets. We are looking for a professional for the position of General Manager in the Agribusiness sector who can join the team of one of our clients. This position is open to expats in Angola or willing to relocate, experience with local market is an advantage. 
 
Location: Luanda, Kikuxi, Angola

Requirements
  • Degree or Master's in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Production Engineering or similar areas
  • Minimum 10 years' professional experience in Heavy Equipment and Production, Operations, Management etc.
  • English: Spoken and Written fluently

Responsibilities
  • Leading the evaluation and proposal of projects to increase production.
  • Defining production monitoring plans.
  • Drawing up production forecasts, identifying and quantifying the associated uncertainties
  • Supervising production and manufacturing, ensuring efficiency, safety and quality.
  • Ensuring delivery deadlines are met, cost control and stock management.
  • Promoting technological innovation and continuous improvement in industrial processes.
  • Supervising the launch of new tractor and equipment models.
  • Keeping abreast of industry trends (agribusiness, machinery, heavy equipment, etc.).

Qualifications
  • Proven experience in the agricultural machinery, heavy equipment or automotive sectors.
  • Proven experience in managing P&L, CAPEX and large-scale production units.
  • Technical and operational expertise, in-depth knowledge of tractor/implement assembly processes, automation and industry technologies.
  • Leadership and personal skills in team management, guidance and collaboration between departments.
  • Strategic vision for growth, innovation and operational efficiency.
  • Excellent communication, crisis management and decision-making skills.
  • Market, customer and competitor insight.
  • Understanding of agricultural market trends, customer needs and competitor dynamics.
  • Proven sales and commercial skills.
