Job Overview

UNICEF seeks a highly skilled and experienced professional to fill the position of Deputy Representative Programme. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in driving UNICEF's programme development and implementation in Angola.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Support the Representative in managing the Country Office and ensuring effective programme implementation.
  2. Contribute to programme planning and development, including designing and implementing innovative solutions to address the needs of children and communities.
  3. Monitor and evaluate programme progress, identifying areas for improvement and developing strategies to address challenges.
  4. Represent UNICEF at national and international levels, fostering partnerships and collaborations to advance the organisation's mission.
  5. Ensure the integration of humanitarian responses into programme planning and implementation.

Requirements:

  • Advanced university degree in a relevant field, such as social sciences, international relations, or development studies.
  • Minimum 10 years of professional experience in programme management, with a strong background in development cooperation and humanitarian response.
  • Experience working in developing countries, particularly in Africa, is highly desirable.
  • Fluency in English is required, and fluency in Portuguese or another local language is an asset.
